Haiku
Today, I taught my United Cerebral Palsy students the Haiku. I wrote a few myself on the way to work. (Note: Ours do not follow the 5-7-5 pattern).
These crippled bones
on the subway
won't someone give me a seat?
Give me candy
to sweeten
my bitter son.
Birds drift in light
outside
cathedral windows.
Dear Library,
I lost the books.
Go ahead, charge me.
