Oregon

In a few weeks we will leave for our yearly summer in Oregon. I have to say, I've got one foot out my New York door. Moving from New York seems an impossible task, yet one that lingers. Partially, this desire to leave comes from my perceived inability to find a home in the New York Poetry world. I find I can't fit in, and I can't completely hide either. The west -- a kinder, gentler place -- might give the opportunity for one ... or the other.

Wait! Don't go to Oregon. Come to North Carolina first. I regret losing touch with you after leaving NYC. How old is Jeffrey? Gaelan will be 5 July 10th & is desperately lonely. We are coming to NY the 1st week in June. Will you still be around? Can we get together? G. wants me to say hello and ask if Jeffery wants to go to the park or the museum sometime. Hope you are well and happy. Congrats on the book!

I understand what you mean about the west being kinder and gentler ( have just moved to CA) and I wish you all the best in finding your "home" there. We all need it.
